11 years, more than 130 productions and in excess of 1.5 million guests served at the Mesa-based theatre. Even though the theatre will take its final
bow in its current form on Mon., July 30, it will continue to operate as normal, with the box office remaining open for the next five months during normal business hours. The theatre is currently entertaining sold-
out performances of “Me and My Girl” on the main stage, “Run for Your Wife” in the Marquee Theatre and “Schoolhouse Rock

Theatre will hold its six-week summer musical theatre camp at the BPDT in June and July. Other summer programming includes the hilarious farce “Funny Money” in the Marquee Theatre running in April and May, “Disney’s Alice in Wonderland, Jr.” running on the main stage in July and 16 live concerts on weekends. Nominate top quilt shop SanTan Sun-area quilters may nominate shops for the Second Annual Quilt Shop of the
Year competition no later than Tue., May 15. The winning shop will be announced Aug. 1, in preparation for the induction event on Sun., Sept. 23 in Tucson. Nominated shops must be independently owned in Arizona, open to the public, include a

To celebrate the students who submitted artworks,
essays and poems to the 2012 Chandler Young Authors & Artists Showcase, a reception will be held at the Vision Art Gallery in historic downtown Chandler from 6 to 8 p.m. Fri., April 20. The Showcase, associated with the education program of Sister Cities International (SCI), has the 2012 theme as
“Youth as the Catalyst for Change” and is organized locally by the Chandler Tullamore Sister City (CTSC) nonprofit group.
