14 ICAN Fun Run 5th annual ICAN SanTan Sun Family Fun Run & 5K fundraiser, 7:30-11 a.m., Tumbleweed Park on the Paseo Trail. Compete in a 5K race or walk, jog or run in the noncompetitive Fun Run. Each paid participant receives a goodie bag, and drawing tickets are sold for a variety of


prizes throughout the morning. A Chandler Fire Department truck is onsite for children along with DJ music and information booths. The 5K is $30 on race day; dry-wick T-shirts available only as supplies last for those not preregis- tered. Science Saturday Science Saturday, noon to 4 p.m. presented by the Chandler Museum on the porch of the 1917 McCroskey House. Explore chemical reactions while making baking soda rockets and visit historic homes and gardens at this free event for children and families that combines science experiments with historic home tours at Tumbleweed Ranch. The 12-acre ranch features a collection of historic homes, active planting fields, unique agricultural equipment and animals. It serves as a living classroom engaging learners of all ages in an outdoor setting to connect with science, history and the art of farming. The science experiments are held at 2250 S.
