On arrival at Serena Hotel the extremely smart doorman came forward to greet us. “Good evening” then he took one look at our faces “oh you’ve been on Safari; Amboseli?” the dust gives it away. He took his gloves off before touching the van or shaking hands with us. We had arrived back in civilization!
The hotel was full of bustle. People fresh- ly arrived, buying Safari gear, check bags in, checking bags out, airline crews in transit; all human life was there, includ- ing the Kuoni rep.
