At one point in the Park, the Hippo Pool, we were able to get out and stand on the edge of the Samba River to watch the birds and hippos.
We must have been surrounded by thou- sands of stork, and the noise they made as they all decided to take off was like a ripple of thunder. There were about thirty hippos in the pool, which is actually part of the river. These creatures were quite lively, although we weren’t quick enough to get a picture of the two who decided to have a little scrap.
