Due to the in-fi ghting in the Litchfi eld Fire
Department and the paper’s inability to know what is truth and what are blatant lies, any thumbs comments that mention the Litchfi eld Fire Department are going to be excluded until September 2012. Hopefully, the spring and summer will allow the Litchfi eld Fire Fighters to reestablish themselves as the positive members of their community which they have always been.

“Thumbs up to the cast of ‘The High-Schooler’s Guide to the Galaxy.’ We cannot wait to see all of your hard work on the stage at the Campbell High School Auditorium on April 13th at 7 pm, April 14th at 7 pm, and April 15th at 2 pm!”
“Thumbs up to my loving boyfriend for supporting me at Cabaret and writing me a kind message in the ad book. I appreciate everything you do for me! :(D>”
“Thumbs up to Mr. B and the students and
volunteers who put on an amazing show last weekend. So much Fun! Your salute to ‘America’ deserves a standing ovation.”
“Thumbs down to the people that keep complaining every week in the paper about the kids riding their 4-wheelers and dirt bikes around on Belknap Road. I mean, come on, seriously, ya

know… it’s better knowing that they’re doing that and not something else, and not out vandalizing things. I’d rather hear that and know that they’re out there rather than not know where they are and not know what’s going on.”

“Thumbs up to the gossip in the middle school, it keeps the wheels turning. Now there is a new member on the BOS. Yes, there is a confl ict, clean up your act.”

“Thumbs up to Mr. B., FOM, and the super talented music students of Alvirne High School. The Cabaret was stunning, again. Hudson its own National Treasure in this music department. Let’s get them a performing arts center so they can showcase the talent in this town in a manner befi tting the effort they put into it.”
“Thumbs down to the cranky guy that does not like pine trees. During the winter, when everything else dies, the Pine Trees stand proud and tall. They are a sign of hope and life. So get a life pine-tree hater.”
“Thumbs up to people who ‘thumbs down’ themselves. ;-)”

“Thumbs down to the people who write to this column and who do not check out the sources of their column but actually put this stuff in the paper. I am thoroughly disgusted as a former resident of Massachusetts with the young educated yoyo’s that live in New Hampshire.”
“Thumbs down to Dennis Miller. Even though
I don’t vote in Litchfi eld, I think that was a dirty trick and I hope you remember it for a long, long time.”
“Thumbs up and happy Easter
to everybody, and especially the happy pussy-willow people in Litchfi eld.”
“Thumbs down to the lady on Hilltop, off of Barretts Hill Road, who throws her yard clippings and everything on the side of the road for the town to clean up later. There’s got to be something the town can do. Either give her a fi ne or something.”
“Thumbs up and
congratulations Ashley on being names Jr. Citizen of the Year and for the scholarship to Northeastern. Way to go!”
