Prolight+Sound

Right: Chauvet’s stand made a real statement about their place in the market, whilst SGM ‘s exciting use of light caught the attention of many visitors.

Below: Robe had an impressive array of products on show at their stand this year. curveLED showed the potential of their product to great effect at the show using an archway at their stand.

Robe had their busiest ever time at this years show, and the stands distinctive appearance was a real draw for visitors. Nathan Wan’s vibrant and lively lighting design for the booth utilised nearly 300 of the latest Robe fixtures and featured a ‘wall-of-death’ effect, with some serious metalwork in the roof. The stand made a serious impact on anyone walking Hall 11, it was impossible not to get drawn into the action!

Another stand that was well presented was for 5 Star Cases, whose display of speciality cases for all industry sectors was well received by visitors at the show. The company was showcasing a number of cases including their new Drawered Rack. This versatile system is finding many uses with engineers and technicians in a wide variety of industry sectors including AV, Exhibition, Sound and Light and more. The company showed a good knowledge and willingness to help that encouraged a number of enquiries at the stand. I was very impressed by the offering

presented by Martin, who was showing the MAC Aura compact LED moving head wash light. The product comes with zoom and loads of effects, as well as being a single lens wash with premixed colours. This means an amazing colour palette, almost like using gels or dichroic for natural looking colour. I was very intrigued by this

and thought the technology behind it was impressive.

One of the most impressive stands showing off their entire product range to massive and great effect was the combined stand of RCF, AB Technologies, and SGM. The stand was covered in programmable LED strings, and really impressively programmed to show off the full range of effects that the strings can produce. I thought Prolight+Sound this year was well worth the visit. The Majority of the stands I spoke to said that they had experienced a positive show with a good level of interest from visitors.
