MA Lighting were delighted to be involved in The Path of Pearls, a key event for Bahrain’s “Manama, Capital of Ara Culture 2012”.

was held at the seafront of the Bahrain National Museum.


Lighting designer Luc Peumans from Painting with Light, Belgium, specified 1 x grandMA2 full-size, 1 x grandMA2 light along with 2 x MA Network Processing Units for the show. For the musical a large orchestra, 100 dancers plus 9 aerial artists performed on a multilevel stage. The show used the largest low-res LED screen (300sqm) that was ever used in the region. Like the Jamaican Jazz and Blues Festival, the “Path of Pearls” offered a great opportunity for light to be part of an important cultural event for the country. Over in the USA, Anolis has been hard at work putting together an exciting

installation for The Penthouse Club in the Reno-Tahoe area of Nevada. Nearly 1000 Anolis LED fixtures were utilised in the spectacular lighting scheme, which comprised of a full spectrum of current products including Anolis ArcSources, ArcLines and ArcLinks. David Chesal created the interior design and extensive lighting scheme, and the entire club venue has been designed and fitted out with a sophisticated blend of contemporary and classical decor and aesthetics. The same premium standards have been applied to the lighting, and this is one reason that Chesal specified the Anolis brand, together with about 60 Robe moving lights used throughout the venue.


Architectural and feature lighting is prominent everywhere in The Penthouse Club, encompassing everything from the stages, bars and dancefloors, to the staircases, balconies, and even the bottle shelves.


Chesal was very impressed with the


effects created using the Anolis products; "I needed a brand with a wide and dynamic variety of sources to choose from, so I could light everything from a single bottle to a complete room," he clarifies, adding that "the superior colours and richness of the Anolis lightsources are perfect for the job" Creating installations across the world is very much a matter of taste.
