Risk UK Interview

campaign will include extensive promotion including both press and digital advertising, together with e-shots.

What types of companies are exhibiting?

Tracy Bebbington: We are working with all the major security and fire manufacturers and names will be released soon. Exhibitors have come from the existing IFSEC and Pro-Activ databases which include systems integrators; installers; consultants; service providers; manufacturers; distributors and suppliers of commercial security technology.

Will you have any training courses or special events during the show?

Tracy Bebbington: An extensive education programme will run alongside the event and we are already co- ordinating with major industry figures and leading industry associations to produce the right content. Our conference facility will host a number of keynote speakers – each of who have a global influence – covering emerging technologies from across the world.

Who are the supporting organisations? 028_Layout 1 02/03/2012 13:53 Page 1

Tracy Bebbington: We have had overwhelming support from the security industry’s chief bodies and look forwards to helping some of the world’s leading solutions providers tap into this unique business opportunity. (BSIA), Fire Protection Association (FPA), London First, Security Watchdog, Worshipful Company of Security Professionals (WCoSP) and the Security Institute (SyI).

After UBM and ProActiv bought the Integrated Security Solutions (ISS) show from IMP there is now only the GSS event in London. Could you expand on this decision?

Charlie Cracknell: As organisers of the IFSEC Global Security Events in the UK, India, Africa and Saudi Arabia, we believe that our industry partnerships and commitment to serving the security market, best places us to bring this new event to London. We’re glad that IMP Events, organisers of ISS, will be assisting us in the transition to a single London Event for 2012. Our research has emphatically told us that London

needs and wants an end-user focused event that brings together solutions and education underpinned by a new one-to-one meeting format. Graeme Howe, Director at IMP has also commented that: “Both UBM and IMP recognise that the market is best served by one London- based end-user security event and we are delighted that UBM has invited us to help them make their Global Security Summit the de-facto London security event.”
