GUTTERSLUT THE EAST END STAPLE CELEBRATED ITS

FOURTH BIRTHDAY RECENTLY…

If you want to sample a taste of the London club scene’s cutting-edge, then the team at Gutterslut have always been able to help. The night first launched in 2008, but – four years down the line – it still offers one of east London’s most debauched, underground, hipster-heavy gatherings, attracting a predominantly gay mix of fashion kids, freaks, Shoreditch trendies and disco aficionados. The night is presided over by the self-dubbed ‘Dalston Gay Mafia’, and the team returned at the end of February to throw a typically messy

celebration of the night’s fourth anniversary. Taking over East Bloc on Old Street, the gang offered both a disco room and rave room, with Jonny Woo oscillating between the two on hosting duties. Music was supplied by WeAreSkitzo, DJ Squeaky, Laurent C, Kate Hutchinson and Per QX (with Miss Crystal rapping), who together ensured that the sweat was quickly dripping from the East Bloc walls. The next Gutterslut date will be announced on the Facebook page at “GutterSlut Group” or www.myspace.com/gutterslutuk
