Mickelson was elected through the PGA TOUR Ballot with 72 percent of the vote, the highest percentage a player has received since Greg Norman in 2001. The 2012 induction class also included Hollis Stacy, Dan Jenkins, Sandy Lyle and Peter Alliss.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 9 – Military Appreciation Day n 5:30pm – Tribute to America’s volunteers on the Clubhouse Lawn, highlighting the 375th anniversary of the National Guard. The ceremony will include a flyover and free Luke Bryan concert.

SUNDAY, MAY 13 – Mother’s Day and Pink Out n Activities designed for moms and the family. Players,
caddies, sponsors and fans
are
encouraged to wear pink to TPC Sawgrass in support of the 26.2 with Donna Foundation, a local charitable organization that raises funds for ground-breaking breast cancer research. For every fan in attendance on Championship Sunday, THE PLAYERS will donate $1 to the 26.2 with Donna Foundation.
