The TaylorMade system analyzes your swing to find the perfect clubs for you.

HIGH-TECH SWING TECHNOLOGY COMES TO TPC SAWGRASS

Ever wonder how PGA TOUR players get their clubs fit to precisely match the nature of their swings? Now you can find out at the TaylorMade Performance Lab located at TPC Sawgrass, the Home of THE PLAYERS Championship. The facility, which shares the same building as the Tour Academy, is one of four flagship locations for TaylorMade Performance Labs across the country. Here you will find access to the most technologically advanced fitting experience in golf—one that had been previously unavailable to the general public as it was reserved exclusively for TOUR players who visited either of the TaylorMade Kingdoms—in Carlsbad, CA and Reynold’s Plantation, GA. The lab at TPC Sawgrass is scheduled for a Grand Opening later this spring, giving everyday players the chance to finally experience the ultimate in club fitting and swing analysis.

The comprehensive three-hour fitting experience will cover

all 14 clubs in the bag, from driver to putter, ensuring a perfectly fit set of custom clubs and offering the individual a deeper understanding of the golf swing. The MAT-T system (Motion Analysis Technology by TaylorMade) utilizes 3D motion reality via six high speed cameras to transform the golfer into an avatar—a digital rendering of the golfer and his/her swing that can be viewed from any angle. It is a process and system similar to those used by EA Sports and Pixar Animation to capture 3D motion in a high speed environment. After the golfer and the swing have been captured, the fitter will combine that information with launch monitor readings, which serve to determine the final choice in equipment. Every TaylorMade club head and shaft is available for demonstration, so the golfer is able to validate the results of the fitting by actually hitting the exact clubs on site. Once the order is placed, the custom team at TaylorMade headquarters will have the order built and turned around within 48 hours. SUPPORT FOR THE FIRST TEE CAMPAIGN

TPC, ClubCorp and Heritage Golf Group properties across the U.S. will pool their collective talents and resources this spring to host a series of fund-raising events benefiting The First Tee—a non-profit initiative that promotes character-building among young people through the game of golf. The fund-raising initiative is part of The First Tee Campaign for 10 Million Young People, a comprehensive effort to raise $100 million which will enable the organization’s life skills programs to positively influence more young people, their families and communities, while preparing them for success in high school, college and life. From April 23-29, 2012, each participating golf property will customize a week-long fund-raising program, with proceeds

benefiting The First Tee. Many premier private clubs, including TPC Boston, TPC Jasna Polana, Firestone Country Club and Mission Hills Country Club, will open their doors to non- members on one or more designated days during the week, with green fee proceeds donated to the Campaign. In addition, many clubs will continue support through Member/Guest opportunities, Head Professional Golf Marathons and a Golf Shop retail promotion in conjunction with Nike. The First Tee Week will be followed by an eBay auction featuring golf stay and play packages, PGA TOUR memorabilia and experiences.
