Waterford GAA Update
ISU GAA Cup a great success again The 2012 ISU GAA Cup was held recently in Mount Sion GAA Club. The tournament is for Primary Schools and is sponsored by the ISU Centre. Ten teams from various schools entered with players from approx 10 different countries taking part. Each team played three games with the best four going to the semi finals. Games were competitive throughout and the standard of hurling was certainly up on last year. After the group games were finished we were left with Mount Sion CBS v CBS New Ross and Callan 1 v St Paul’s 2. After two great semi finals we were left with an all Waterford final between Mt Sion and St Paul’s 2. In the final Mount Sion proved to be the stronger team and won out with a great performance. The ISU GAA Shield was presented by Br Kevin of the ISU and Munster Council GAA Inclusion and Integration Officer John Landers. Schools involved were Waterpark NS, CBS Mount Sion, Callan CBS, CBS New Ross, St Paul’s Boys NS, Glor na Mara.
