Zumba for a great cause A

fundraising event with a difference will take place in the Butler Community

Centre on Thursday, April 26th. Zumba instructors Adriana from the

Waterford class, Rachel from Zumba Kilkenny and Breda from Suir Zumba are coming together to raise funds for Keeleigh Flynn from Tramore. When Keeleigh was nine weeks old she

was diagnosed with a choroid plexus tumour (a brain tumour). She got embolisation done of the tumour when she was just three months old, which is where they block the blood vessels that are feeding the tumour. From this Keeleigh suffered a stroke. She was left with weakness on her left hand side, she lost her sight, developed epilepsy and became developmentally delayed. Keeleigh can’t sit up or feed herself, she can’t talk or walk and needs 24 hour care.

Keeleigh Flynn

Even though she can’t do a lot of the things that a three and a half year old can do, she has a beautiful smile and laugh. She has her own personality and if she isn’t happy with something she would let you know! The tumour thankfully has gone, but the problems from the stroke remain for the little girl who will be four in June. The Zumbathon charity event promises to

be a great party event, with dancing, great music from DJ The Sounds Up and of course lots of fun. For more information call instructor

Adriana: 0863546446 OR email zumbawithadriana@gmail.com Can't make it to the Zumba event, but still
