Texas Hold ‘em tournament to benefit ‘Burn the Mortgage’ May 12, 4-7pm : Southside Senior Center, 3151 E. 27th Ave. The Texas Hold ‘em Tournament, with proceeds going to the ‘Burn the Mortgage’ campaign, is not only going to be a lot of fun but a very well organized and managed tournament headed by people who know what they’re doing. The Burn the Mortgage Campaign raised funds for the continued operation of the Southside Senior Center. Registration begins at 3pm, or register early at the Center’s Front Desk. Spokane Lilac Festival Cruzin’ the Falls Car Show May 19, 10am-6pm : Spokane Falls Boule- vard, across from Riverfront Park There will be lots of food vendors, fun, com- mercial displays, and cars-cars-cars! All cars entered in the Car Show will get to drive through the Lilac Festival Parade route, kick- ing off the 2012 “Dream & Reach For the Stars” Armed Forces Torchlight Parade.
