where the Mayor should have looked long ago for lessons. This office, led by Dis- trict Attorney William J. Fitzpatrick runs on Justice. Balanced with compassion. And has the wisdom to understand how they blend and how the American citizen and the American course are best served. Young people and Kids matter and pro- gram after program saves futures and lives. By the way, they work with finest Cops in the country and together this city and county is served in the finest traditions of those that have given their lives for our way of life. This Mayor personally interfered in a District Attorney’s investigation forcing the matter to escalate. This was power hungry, arrogant and disrespectful. Then she says the DA has a “Vendetta”. That is her way. She inflames and then accuses others for responding. For over a Generation this District At-

torney and his staff have been a beacon for others. By now the numbers are in the thousands. Citizen’s who otherwise would be in jail, live with justice and compassion in their past. They are home raising their kids, thankful for a major life lesson. Each (each was important Mayor) with an experi- ence in their past, resolved with compassion and justice. This DA is highly accomplished and respected and when he moves there is reason. The Mayor sees justice as revenge when it applies to her.

and Captain Roger Donlon was a friend of mine. Feel free to google him. He would agree.

I strongly urge each reader to verify and consider the matters contained herein and be sure that any friend or relative that is a citizen of this city does not vote for her.

In my case, every Airline Station Manager (the top folks that run entire airlines) at Hancock Airport and 7 of 8 Common Councilors (Matt Rayo sided with her) made clear that Century where I worked should remain at the airport. She gave our work to her friends located out of town thus removing jobs and the tax base from the South Side. This as the City approaches a fiscal crisis. She deserted the very City in which she is Mayor. She also stacked the committee making the recom- mendation. Folks, you have no idea the effort that goes in to duping you. I gave my last working years with complete loyalty to the city and the airlines so that I could give my a boy a better future. This was the contract that would have protected my senior years and my boys future. All gone. She doesn’t even know his name. It is ‘Billy’ Mayor. Oxygen shortage at birth. Braces on both legs. The Hero of my life,

Imagine this: We have over 500 Police Officers on the force. In order to satisfy her need to “show Cops” she had to reach back 10 years to an unproven minor in- cident that the city settled for $10,000 largely to prevent the costs that would prove the frivolous and vengeful nature of the accusation. She had foregone conclusions in her thinking and sought any incident to support her urge to show power. She grasped at a 10 year old minor alleged incident and insulted a man that literally risked his life every day for the previous 18 months in a very dangerous undercover mission. 500 Cops working every day, year after year, and she could not find the wrong doing to support her thinking. What she proved was an amazing record of excel- lent Police work. Her insulting disdain is an open invitation for any bad guy to abuse the critical moment where a Cop may die. This is the crucial period in time in which a Cop is taking down a violent assailant or that split second in which the Cop may die if he or she makes the wrong decision. Thanks to this Mayor, and example has been set and merciless predators that fail to injure or kill a Cop will instead happily sue.

On October 30th, 1990 shots rang out in

a dark parking lot on South Salina Street. Officer Wallie Howard Jr. took a bullet and died. I delivered coffee to the Police Station the following morning. I had a shop in Armory Square at the time. It was among the most humbling and sad experienc- es I have ever known. Each year since, a highly deserving narcotics officer has been awarded the Wallie Howard Jr. Award. Why would this Mayor choose to dishonor this memory? It completely baffles me how far removed she is from simply “getting it” in so many situations. Her stature was forever diminished and rendered irrel- evant when Wayne Howard, the Brother of slain Officer Wallie Howard Jr. awarded the Wallie Howard Jr. Award to Officer Alp Llukaci to a standing ovation by fellow heroes. 25 suspects were arrested and 130 drug charges were leveled because Alp
