‘I’M A BACKPACKER... GET ME IN THERE!’ Experience the “jungle” first hand in Australia’s playground...
Got the post-celebrity reality show blues? Wondering what to do now Dougie, Mark, Fatima and the gang have all packed up their backpacks and hitched their way back to the UK? How about exploring it for yourself? Gold Coast Tourism has joined forces with Gapyear. com and Qantas, to entice the UK backpacker market to the lush rainforest and golden shores of Australia’s playground.
The trio have created a video-based social media competition themed around ITV’s ‘I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here’, with the six victorious entrants winning a fun-packed trip to the sub-tropical rainforest where the hit show (and National Television award winner) is filmed.
The six lucky winners will fly from the UK courtesy of Qantas Airlines. Once in Australia, they’ll stay at the famous Palazzo Versace hotel where the ITV show celebrities kickback post jungle experience, and get to hang out on the famous surfing beaches of Australia’s Gold Coast.
But it’s not all holiday - the lucky six will also face their own bush tucker trials. The winner, crowned Backpacker King or Queen of the Jungle, will walk away with a grand mystery prize.
To bag a flight to the jungle, all the entrants need to do is create a one-minute video explaining why they’ve got what it takes to follow in Dougie’s footsteps. The six winners will be the entrants with the most ‘Likes’ on YouTube.
