(Return to Lisle at approximately 5:00pm) Sanfilippo Summer Concert:

Summer Storm Sanfilippo Estate, Barrington, IL This promises to be a most outstanding event – a fabulous concert held in a truly amazing venue. The Sanfilippo estate is a private home that houses one of the world’s finest collections of antique musical instruments (we toured this incredible estate on one of our mystery trips). The family will open up their home for touring prior to the concert, with docents posted throughout to answer questions and turn on some of the treasures, from the Wurlitzer Organ, to victrolas, player pianos and so much more. At 8:00 the concert begins – a dueling duet of William Powers, opera bass-baritone, and Simon Kyung Lee, opera tenor, in a concert of classical arias (solo and duet), as well as favorite show tunes and lighter fare. Accompanied on piano by William Billingham, this evening promises to unleash the thunderous power of two veteran opera stage performers while also charming, and of course, surprising you. A past performance by Mr. Powers’ included his surprising old-time Beer Commercial medley, and the Cowboy songs, so who knows what might be in store for us this evening! Don’t miss this special eyes and ears treat - come experience “Summer Storm” at the Sanfilippo Place de la Musique. Fee includes transportation, self-guided tour and concert.
