Bobbi Brown for Tibi
In New York Bobbi Brown created a Beatles-esque look with a 90s, modern twist for Tibi, with strong, defined brows, fresh, dewy cheeks and a matte, nude lip. The look was said to represent an ‘understated confidence’ and was achieved by applying Hydrating Face Cream and Hydrating Eye Cream to the face; Shell Eyeshadow and Everything Mascara to the eyes; Pink Truffle Creamy Color for Cheeks & Lips (part of the Desert Twilight Collection, Fall ‘12) to the cheeks; and Latte Creamy Matte Lip Color (part of the Creamy Matte Lip Color Collection, Fall ‘12) to the lips.
for Erickson Beamon 4711 for Matthew Williamson
Iconic fragrance 4711 sponsored Matthew Williamson’s ‘dreamy, floaty’ show at the Royal Opera House. The sponsorship was to celebrate the fragrance’s 220th anniversary, during which time it has partnered with many artists and designers, says 4711’s Jessica Boenish. The show itself was full of opulence and grandeur and the catwalk was bathed in blue lights that echoed the iconic design of the historic 4711 fragrance. Williamson says: “I’ve loved 4711 from when I was a small child. Its fragrance is really evocative of all the things I love; it’s sentimental, yet exotic at the same time. I love the design and opulence of the bottle, and the colour ways work perfectly with my signature design aesthetic.”
Our fave M.A.C looks of A/W12 in New York, Milan, Paris and London included the look the team created for Mary Katrantzou’s show at London Fashion Week, which featured a modern, elegant take on eye lining, and Meadham Kirchhoff’s extreme drag beauty look, also at London Fashion Week. One of the most achievable looks was the vampy, 1920’s flapper style that Fatima Thomas created for Erickson Beamon at New York Fashion Week (pictured). Skin was prepped with Prep + Prime Beauty Balm, then Mineralize Concealer was blended in and Mineralize Skinfinish Natural was dusted over for a matte finish. Pearl Cream Colour Base was blended over cheeks to highlight and Coffee Walnut Pro Sculpting Cream (available A/W12) was blended under cheekbones, with a dusting of Frankly Scarlett Powder Blush. Coffee Walnut Pro Sculpting Cream was applied to the eyelids, followed by M.A.C Pro Black Black Paint Stick. Carbon Eye Shadow was applied over the Black Black Paint Stick to emphasise the intensity. M·A·C Pro Silver Pigment (for pale/medium skintones) and Blue Brown Pigment (for deeper skintones) highlighted the centre of the eyelid. Finally, False Lashes Extreme Black was applied to upper and lower lashes and violet pigment was applied to the tips. For lips, Thomas blended M.A.C Red Lipstick and Fuschia M.A.C Pro Lipmix and applied them to the lips in a perfect and natural shape.
