Editor’s letter It was with great interest that I read the news that Dove is launching the 2012 Self Esteem Programme to help fund self-esteem education in schools. The brand has long been an advocate of natural beauty and was one of the first brands to use ‘real women’ in its advertising campaigns, and this new campaign is a great example of a powerful beauty company doing its best to help children develop healthy body confidence and realistic beauty ideals. The school years are such an important time in the shaping of future confidence, and throughout this time, skincare and make up can make a real difference to how confident teens feel. Take a look at our teen beauty feature on page 38 for tips and tricks to recommend to teenagers in your stores to tackle any beauty issues that may be zapping their confidence. Our In Fashion feature on page 54 may also come in useful for advising teens – and all your customers! – on the beauty trends that are likely to take off this year, taken straight from the Fashion Week catwalks. I hope you enjoy the issue! Emily Miller, Editor
