The Social Scene SOCIALSTUDIES AtlantiCare ABH Groundbreaking for Child and Adolescent Services


AtlantiCare held a symbolic groundbreaking for its new Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health Campus March 5 at a reception at the AtlantiCare LifeCenter on English Creek Avenue in Egg Harbor Township. ABH staff, physicians and Board members joined agency partners to celebrate the groundbreaking of the new campus, which will take place within the next month at 6010 Black Horse Pike, Egg Harbor Township. The group used a sandbox and children’s shovels to mark the importance of expanding behavioral health services for children and adolescents. Lori Herndon, president and CEO ARMC and executive


vice president, AtlantiCare, addressed the approximately 100 physicians, staff, Board members and community partners attending the symbolic groundbreaking, “Our outstanding staff will now have an exceptional facility to provide outpatient services in one location.” Noel Forrestel, chair, AtlantiCare Behavioral Health Board, spoke to nearly100 physicians, staff, Board members and community partners attending, “We expect to be able to provide services to up to 500 more each year in the new location,” she said. In 2011, ABH served more than 19 hundred children, adolescents and families.

Revel Opens its Doors for a Grand Media Tour


On March 20th and 21st, members of the media were invited to preview the new 2.4 billion dollar Revel resort. Day one started on the casino floor, know as the “Revelry”, where restaurants and nightlife are located as well. Day two of the tour highlighted the resort’s luxury rooms and signature dining. Revel will open its doors to the public on April 2nd.
