Selma graduated from Woodbury High School in 1963 (right, she should be retired by now). Went off to one year of college at LTNH, then graduated from Fazios Institute of Cosmotology. She worked many years in Lawrence, MA, when she lived in Methuen, MA (her husband’s hometown). Before she moved to Salem to live across the street from her parents’ farm. That is when the beauty shop got started. Selma was entered into the Salem High School Hall of Fame in 1988 as a three-sport superstar (Basketball, Softball and Field Hockey). You can see her photo from “way back when” hanging in the foyer at the high school with her maiden name Selma Donigian. Selma’s real estate career was launched from necessity to support her family when her husband died


15 years ago. Her daughters were 5, 11, and 13 years old at the time and she needed to find another source of income in addition to her hairdressing business in her home (for which she is still licensed and working in NH and MA). Building and selling oceanfront condos at Salisbury Beach that her husband and her had started, encourage her to go for a real Estate License. She went to work as an agent for Norwood’s in Salem for four years and then RE MAX Rockingham for two years before opening up her own real estate office in 1995. Selma has been self-employed for over 30 years with two businesses, real estate and hairdresser, which keeps her busy when the real estate market is slow. Selma wants to thank all her clients for the support all the years, and she will continue to work hard with all referrals to satisfaction.


In addition to working two jobs and raising a family on her own, Selma still finds time for a number of


her favorite activities. These include working out at the Salem Athletic Club, member of the Armenian Apostolic Church of North Andover Youth Federation in North Andover. She as much time as she can with her four grandchildren that all live in Massachusetts, and enjoys relaxing at her waterfront condo at the beach.
