Saturday, April 27, 1968 In Britain, their tour visits The Odeon Theatre in Cardiff. In the US, ‘The Singer Sang His Song’ hits Billboard’s bubbling under charts at #116. In Germany, the group is seen once again on television’s Beat Club (in a pre-taped segment).
Sunday, April 28, 1968 The Bee Gees’ British tour continues at The Granada Theatre, Tooting.
Monday, April 29, 1968 The group flies to Munich, Germany to receive the Golden Otto Award from Bravo magazine.
Wednesday, May 1, 1968 The Bee Gees open a brief Irish tour in Cork at The Savoy. In London’s IBC Studio A, engineer Phillip Wade mixes instrumental versions of ‘The Singer Sang His Song’, ‘Birdie Told Me’, ‘To Love Somebody’, ‘World’, ‘With The Sun In My Eyes’ and ‘Massachusetts’ to be used when the group appears on non- live television programs.
Thursday, May 2, 1968 The Bee Gees appear in concert at The Adelphi in Dublin, Ireland.

Saturday, May 4, 1968 Disc & Music Echo reports that the band is due to star in a television spectacular called Frankie Howerd Meets The Bee Gees (with comedian Frankie Howerd, to be aired in August). Also in this issue, manager Robert Stigwood appeals to the band’s fans to stop gathering outside his offices: “Our landlords are very worried about the fans, and have asked to keep the street clear.” On BBC radio, the group are heard on Saturday Club.
Sunday, May 5, 1968 The Bee Gees are scheduled to appear on British television’s Eamonn Andrews Show.
Saturday, May 11, 1968 The NME reports that the group was filmed this week in the recording studio for a forthcoming television programme, The Years Of The Joker. The Gibb brothers have also been signed to write the music for a 13-week series entitled Pippi Longstocking (to be sponsored by the Swedish government). On British television, the group is seen in a special called Time For Blackburn! (also featuring former Manfred Mann lead vocalist, Paul Jones).
