Thursday, March 29, 6:30: “Travel to China-From Prep- aration to Immersion” by Richard Ferland. Richard is a professional photographer who has lived and worked in China. This program will cover the specifics of preparing for a trip to China, information about being there, as well as a pictorial presentation and slideshow. Friday, April 13, 12:30: Free Classic Movie Friday! “Re- becca” with Laurence Olivier and Joan Fontaine.

The Oxford High School Booster Club sponsored their 9th annual March Madness 3 on 3 basketball tournament on Saturday, March 24. Teams from Massachusetts and Connecticut participated in the double elimination tournament and it was a fun day for everyone involved. The money raised benefits the OHS Booster Club. E-Readers available at library People come to the library to borrow books, audio books

and movies. They come to use the public computers and WiFi. They attend free concerts, author visits and chil- dren’s programs at the library. Now you can go to the Oxford Public Library to borrow

one of four e-readers. If the e-readers are all out on loan, the staff will place your name on a waiting list. Just stop by the first floor circulation desk or call them at 508-987- 6003 ext. 3. Just remember to bring your library card with you when you borrow an e-reader. If you are interested in joining a book group there are

two every month. One meets at the library and the other at the Senior Center. For more information about the book groups, stop in the library and talk to Brenna, or call her at 508-987-6003 ext. 3.

Presented by the WEBSTER LIONS CLUB The Webster Lions Club is currently accepting appli-

cations for the George Selig Memorial Scholarship. The winner will be selected based on the student’s academic performance, community service and financial need. The $1000.00 award is presented each year to a graduating high school senior ,who is a resident of Webster, and will be continuing his or her education in an accredited college program. Applications are available at the Bartlett High School Guidance Department or by contacting Dr. John Kalinowski at 508-943-7434 or 508-943-7001. Applications are due May 1, 2012.
