Tork napkin dispenser

The Tork interfold napkin dispenser provides a simple yet effective method of controlling napkin consumption, according to Catering Academy. And the company, which has been equipping its customers’ restaurants with Tork interfold napkin dispensers for more than three years, would not use anything else according to founder director Louise Wymer. “The system provides a very slick and cost-effective method of controlling napkin use,” she said. “The alternative is to hand out napkins one at a time, but while we may want people to use only one we feel that handing out single napkins is demeaning to the customer. The Tork system puts the customer back in control.” Tork interfold napkin dispensers are designed to give out napkins one at a time instead of in clumps, which can occur with traditional napkin dispensers. Trials have shown that catering outlets can cut their napkin consumption by at least 25% by switching to the Tork interfold napkin dispenser. www.tork.co.uk

Williams Refrigeration launches Jade Slimline counter

Williams Refrigeration’s new Jade Slimline counter offers all the features of the popular Jade range, squeezed into a depth of just 500mm. It also has a new energy-saving compressor. The Jade Slimline counter is available in two and three-door versions, as a refrigerator (+1/+4°C) or freezer (-18/-22°C). The two-door has an optimum capacity of 242 litres, the three-door 354 litres.

The Jade Slimline is also the first model in its range to be fitted with Williams’ new energy-efficient compressors. The smaller compressors offer an improved heat exchange, a reduced risk of refrigerant leakage and will save you on average up to £100 pa on your energy bill, compared to standard units. The new counters have many more energy- saving features, including CoolSmart controllers. As well as saving energy, by only running the refrigeration system when it is required, the CoolSmart monitors the fan, defrost, compressor and probe, alerting users to potential problems and ensuring that the critical storage temperature is not compromised. www.williams–refrigeration.com
