Norman Fred Graichen


Norman Fred Graichen, 83, of Atkinson died March 19, 2012, at the Lawrence General Hospital. He was born in Methuen, MA, where he grew up and attended schools, and was a graduate of the Edward F. Searles High School in 1946. He later attended Bentley College, Boston University, and Suffolk University. He was a resident of Atkinson for the past 20 years. Mr. Graichen was a supervisor for Lucent in


North Andover, MA, where he worked for 30 years. He was a member of the John Hancock Masonic Lodge in Methuen, the Scottish Rite Bodies of Haverhill, Lowell, and Boston, MA, and a member of the Aleppo Shriners of Burlington, MA. He was predeceased by his brothers, Walter, Raymond, and Robert Graichen. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Eleanor (Franz) Graichen


of Atkinson; his sons, Arthur and his wife Judith Graichen of East Hampstead; Dr. Dana and his wife Andrea Graichen of Arundel, ME; seven grandchildren, Dawn, David, Daniel, Lisa, Katherine, Julie, and Matthew; great-grandson, Patrick; and several nieces and nephews.


Calling hours will be Friday, March 23 from 4-6 p.m., followed


by a funeral service at 6 p.m. at Douglas and Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main Street, Salem. Cremation will follow. Esther M. Malone Esther M. (Preneveau) Malone, 69, of Salem died


on March 15, 2012 at her home. Esther was born, raised and educated in


Lawrence, MA, and had lived in Salem for the past 20 years. She had, at one time, worked at the Andover Country Club. She enjoyed making trips to Foxwoods with her husband. Esther was very devoted to her family and her grandchildren were her pride and joy.


Her family members include her husband, Robert Malone of Salem; and her daughters, Tammy Robichaud of Andover, MA, and Sherry Formeta of Methuen, MA. She also leaves her sons, Arthur Robichaud and Freddy Robichaud, both of Lawrence; her sister, Linda Bredbury of Salem; and her brothers, Roland L. Preneveau of Andover, and Francis B. Preneveau of Salem. Esther leaves five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and her very close friends, Donna, Marlene and Beverly. Pamela (Gaiolas) Lane Pamela (Gaiolas) Lane, 54, of Lawrence, MA, died


March 16, 2012, at Lawrence General Hospital. Pamela was born in Lawrence, the daughter of the


late Ann (Higton) and William Gaiolas. She lived in Lawrence the majority of her life, but she lived in Salem for 10 years and attended Salem High School. Pamela was a waitress at several Merrimack Valley restaurants. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her many friends. She loved the beach and animals


Pamela is survived by her son, David Lane of Manchester; three sisters, Susan Santo of Salem, Joanne Wilkie of Rindge, and Carolyn Farhadian of Hampstead; and several nieces and nephews. Walter R. Kibildis


Walter R. Kibildis, 97, of Londonderry, died March 18, 2012, at the Pleasant Valley Nursing Home in Derry. He was born in Lawrence, MA, where he grew up and attended


schools. He was a resident of Londonderry for over 35 years, formerly of Salem. Mr. Kibildis worked for Harry M. Stevens at Rockingham Park. He


was also a truck driver for Szabo Foods and Faye and Driscoll Oil. He formerly owned and operated the Shawsheen Luncheonette in Andover, MA and the Drive-In at Arlington Pond in Salem with his wife Anna. He was predeceased by his wife, Anna (Kuchuruk) Kibildis; and his brothers, Julius and Peter Kibildis Walter is survived by his daughter, Nancy M. Rochira of Salem; his son, Richard J. and his wife Priscilla Kibildis of Derry; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
