In my work there isn’t the obsessive desire of talking about something extremely important or philosophically. I do not want to make judgments, making referrals, develop theories; the instinct of the sign becomes my measure, that’s different from everyday actions coded, but it is not the manifestation of a blind impulsive rebellion: it is a truth of being. I represent the essence in a pose, in a glance, in a metaphysical space; I represent what there is "behind" and that is why I chose the nude figure as a theme. I use photographs to record the information I want to paint. Photos are my sketches, they are my way to take notes on my subjects. The prospect, the escape routes, the man at the center of the world are part of my story that I like to revisit in a personal and contemporary way.
