Local Events Dart Music Festival 11–13 May
2012 will see the 15th Dart Music Fes- tival since its inception in 1998. The Festival is now one of the established features of the Dartmouth calendar. Live music of every variety will be performed in just about every possible indoor venue in Dartmouth – as well as in the squares, gardens and along the quay- side. Full information is available at

J80 World Championships 9–15 June
We are delighted that Dartmouth will be hosting the J80 World Cham pion ships in 2012 (the 2011 event was held in Co- penhagen). This should be a spectacular week of racing with a large fleet compris- ing entries from many countries.

168th Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta
30 Aug – 2 Sep
Darthaven sponsors the sailing element of the Regatta – which has grown to become the country’s most significant regatta after Cowes. We make special arrange ments that week to provide berthing for the large numbers of yachts visiting to compete. We can handle yachts up to 40ft in length, but regret that we cannot accommodate non-
take place here. The RDYC will host the event, again with a large fleet expected.
Shakespeare Week 7– 11 August
For its tenth anniversary, the acclaimed Inn Theatre Company is putting on the same play that began it all – Twelfth Night. A totally new production, but us- ing the same stunning open-air setting on the grassy banks and ruins beside Dartmouth Castle. Another superb per- formance by talented local actors can be expected.
