Celebrating 10 ‘beautiful’ years
BIG TEN: LaBella Salon and Day Spa celebrates its 10th year at the same location in The Falls at Ocotillo. Owner Wendy Eslick, seated, notes that the salon business has “had its ups and downs,” but she continues “to take the punches and keeps going,” weathering the economy and staff changes. To stay ahead of the competition, Eslick has her staff keep up on the changing styles and procedures by taking classes and bringing in beauty reps to provide in-house learning. One of those new techniques is Ombre hair coloring now available at LaBella. She says hair extensions are also getting popular again. “People still want to feel good about themselves and look good,” Eslick notes. “Skin care has really taken off in this economy, because fewer people are getting plastic surgery so they now pay more attention to their skin.” Eslick and her staff are thankful for all the positive responses and support from the local community. When asked the question, “Are you tired yet?” Eslick was quick to reply, “I am the Energizer bunny and ready for the next 10 years.” LaBella Salon and Day Spa is located within The Falls at Ocotillo on the wouthwest corner of Alma School and Queen Creek.
