encounter that Franchesco would show his ability to comfort people with his smile. I never have seen anyone that could make a black cloud go away as fast as he could, as he can always make you feel good. The fans that come up to him see an artist that is down to earth and makes their day a special one. Several years ago while at San Diego Comic-

Con, it seemed that destiny would have Franchesco and I running into each other while getting dinners. We had a great time talking and laughing during these times. One of those evenings he invited me to a party that his publisher was having. We walked to the venue and were checked against the “list”. We were walking in and heard music that sounded like Cheap Trick, as we got closer I realized that it was Cheap Trick. There were only 85 people at the party so this made it special. This told me that Franchesco ran in a big crowd and he wanted to share this experience. We ate at the buffet, only to run into the band’s manager. The stories we heard made us laugh and shake our heads. This night was only the first of many times that we would enjoy at the many conventions. Time has given myself the opportunity to

know more about Franchesco. As an artist myself, we have been able to talk about art and how life is as an artist. Through the conversations, we have created a bond of friendship that I hope will last a lifetime and I hope that you will get the chance to meet him.
