Grimm, have continued to do well for their respective networks and time slots, and will likely continue. The success of Once Upon a Time
and Grimm has led to development of more fairy tale type programs for next season, including two different takes on Beauty and the Beast. The CW is developing an update of the Beauty and the Beast series from the 1980’s, where Vincent Koslow (played by Jay Ryan) is a genetically altered Afghanistan war veteran, who teams up with New York police detective, Catherine Chandler (Kristin Kruek) to solve crimes. ABC is developing their own take on the fairy tale set in a mythical city of Kendan, where Grace (Ruth Bradley) is the brave princess and beast, Shiro (Darius Campbell) is a mercenary for the rebels. ABC also has 666 Park Avenue
about a couple who agree to manage an historic apartment building in New York City and discover there are strange things going on in the building; and Gotham, where a female cop, while pursuing a seemingly unsolvable case, discovers a magical world that exists within New York CIty (which seems a bit close to Neil Gaiman’s Neverwhere). CBS is prepping their own modern day take on Sherlock Holmes, titled Elementary, where Sherlock Holms (Johnny Lee Miller) is a former Scotland Yard consultant, who now works for the NYPD, alongside Joan Watson (Lucy Liu), his personal recovery assistant. NBC has Mockingbird Lane, a “magical reinvention” of The Munsters, from Bryan Fuller and Bryan Singer, and Revolution, starring Victor Garber, with J.J. Abrams, Bryan Burk, Eric Kripke and Jon Favreau production, about a group of survivors in a world where all

forms of energy have suddenly ceased to exist. The CW is looking to get back into
the superhero/DC business with Arrow, a new take on DC’s Green Arrow (separate from Smallville’s incarnation), with Stephen as Oliver “Green Arrow” Queen, Katie Cassidy as Dinah Lance, Paul Blackthorne as Quentin Lance, Susanna Thompson as Moira Queen, and Willa Holland as Thea Queen. Greg Berlanti and Marc Guggenheim are executive producing with David Nutter directing the pilot. The CW also has Cult, from Rockne O’Bannon, about the production assistant on a popular TV series who teams up with a journalist to investigate the rabid fans of the series, who may be a bit too inspired by the series and are imitating the crimes they’ve seen on TV. The CW also has a time travel show called Dakota, where a documentary producer travels back in time to prevent the death of her 90’s music idol and discovers things aren’t what they seemed, plus a futuristic series where a poor woman selected by a lottery to compete to become queen of her war-torn nation. The networks will be looking at
their pilots in development and making their decisions in time for the Up Front presentations in early May, so keep an eye out for the announcements. Check the

the next series which will encompass the 50th Anniversary. There’s not been much official word about what is included in the next series, but rumors include a possibility of the return of The Master (maybe played by Sherlock’s, Benedict Cumberbatch) and maybe a new series take on the Zygons. In a
the second series of A Game of Thrones in early April. Fans who have read the books know pretty much what to expect. From Syfy’s press release for season five of Eureka, “Eureka’s fifth and final season culminates with an exciting series conclusion that will complete the journey of the residents of the unique little town of Eureka. As the thrilling final season kicks off, the town is reeling after the Astraeus and her crew mysteriously vanished just before their planned launch to Titan. When they finally crash land, Allison and the crew members are shocked to find themselves back in Eureka - and that they’ve been missing for four years. As the town copes with the shocking personal changes that have happened during their long absence, Sheriff Carter and Henry try to uncover the truth about the forces behind the crew’s bizarre disappearance -- with deadly results.” BBC America is currently running
