of the Becontree Furniturestorefor more than 50 years. Becontree FurnitureLimited has been under the successful management of 49-year-old Tony Neill for the last 19 years, but he has been apart of the storefor more than 30 years, having started as ajunior salesman at the age of 16. Storedirectors, Paul Lawrence and Eddie Roberts, describe Tony as hardworking and avalued member of staff. They also say: “Tony has had only one day’ssickness in the last 19 years -atruly remarkable achievement.” Tony puts the store’ssuccess and longevity down to its personal customer service values and respect for customer needs, which has led to many people visiting the store following personal recommendation. The shop has alarge variety of stock including upright chairs for the elderly,electric rise and recliners, fabric and leather suites, and beds, bedroom and dining furniture. All areavailable for immediate delivery from stock, unlike many large furnitureoutlets that sometimes have alonger delivery period. The store, in Becontree Avenue, Dagenham, has good road and travel links, as well as free parking nearby and at the rear of the premises. As one of only ahandful of independent
