◆ GET involved in fundraising at St Nicholas Church Laindon (pictured right) and help them raise £75,000. The historical church has so far raised £5,750 towards its target and has repaired its ceiling and carried out electrical work in the Lady Chapel. ◆ THE Phoenix Striders, who regularly meets at Laindon Community Centre, will be holding asummer series of five kilometretrail runs around the Plotlans Reserve this year. The runs, which all start from Langdon
Visitors Centre, will be held on at 7.30pm on May 15, June 19, July 17 and August 21.
