Composers Richard Barrett and Sam Hayden join Christopher Redgate (Arts and Humanities Research Council Research Fellow) to discuss their new works for the re-designed oboe and their approaches to composition. The discussions will include the challenges involved in writing works in two forms (for solo instrument and for instrument and ensemble) and writing for the re-designed instrument.
