42nd Ward Alderman KEEPING STREETERVILLE SAFE


he Streeterville Chamber of Commerce encompasses a broad network of businesses, residents and leaders. One of these leaders is 42nd Ward Alderman Brendan Reilly whose efforts in the Streeterville community have extended beyond the realm of business and community relations. His recent efforts have focused on the issue of safety in the Streeterville community.

Alderman Reilly works directly with the 18th District Chicago Police Commander Kenneth Angarone and local business stakeholders to address safety and security issues in the area. The Streeterville Chamber of Commerce continues to acknowledge and address pressing issues in the community. Through the universal effort of local residents, government and businesses, we can continue to provide a safe and thriving community for all.


Alderman Reilly is committed to working “closely with the Chicago Police Department to improve public safety for downtown residents and protect private property, not only by supporting CAPS (Chicago Alternative Policing Strategy) programs, but also by bringing together local residents, businesses and law enforcement to develop creative new solutions to help keep our neighborhoods safe.” - Alderman Reilly www.Ward42chicago.com


Alderman Reilly has also addressed safety through renovation and reconstruction programs throughout the Streeterville community.


Alderman Reilly has partnered with the Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) to make significant improvements to street lighting and traffic signals. Alderman Reilly has also secured additional Police foot and bicycle patrols throughout


Streeterville to improve safety.


In addition,


Alderman Reilly and CDOT have
