will be Dampier. Macedon McDermott has been awarded the contract for subsea, umbilicals, risers and flowlines (SURF) for the Macedon project. McDermott will carry out detailed engineering, procurement, fabrication, transportation and installation of a 77 kilometer, 20- inch diameter pipeline and will install subsea umbilicals and flexible flowlines in water depths up to 180 meters. McDermott will bring in its new build the North Ocean 105 for the project commencing around August this year.

The Mermaid Strait is a 53m DP1 OSV and a second generation version of the Mermaid Sound. MMA’s marine project group have specifically designed the Mermaid Strait to include modifications that improve the safety of the vessel, especially when working in close quarters with large tankers, and offer more flexibility in relation to the range of functions the vessel can perform. Kipper Tuna Turrum. Due to the not unusual inclement weather in Bass Strait the progress of Esso’s Kipper, Tuna, Turrum project has suffered a number of delays. In the next couple of months the DB30 has to relocate elsewhere which means the contractor, McDermott, has had to find a replacement accommodation vessel.

probably mobilise with the Australian crew, ex Cape Town around June. Some detail of the vessel follows.
