Membership Secretary’s Report


The Society’s current total paid up membership for 2011 was 1,143, which is an increase of 12 on the previous year. So our high level of support is being maintained and this is a great achievement for a village amenity society. It helps to add weight to any arguments we wish to put to local authorities on developments affecting our amenities or environment and is particularly important at this time, with the development pressures from the government on the South East.


For this I thank you, our members and especially the Liaison Officers, who deliver your newsletters and collect the membership subscriptions. Please help them as much as possible by getting your subscriptions to them if they call when you are out.


Also please try and remember to encourage your neighbours to join the Society, especially new residents moving into the area, as it is important to maintain this high level of support we have in the village.
