visiting a winery and vineyard, Napa Valley is what comes to mind, but not for Patricia Farrington of Honora Winery. She opened her winery and vineyard in Southern Vermont in 1993. She decided to move out of the hustle and bustle of city life and found a location in the small Vermont town of West Halifax. The first focus was to build an estate on the 200 acre farm and then to focus on the vineyard. When the house was near completion,

You get to work with their winemaker, develop your own blend, design a personalized label and help bottle your wine before you take it home. All of the fun of being a winemaker, with none of the worry! Honora’s staff will work with you step by step to be sure that your end result is one that you are proud to call your own!

public in 2009 and the Honora Winery staff was thrilled to be able to share the property and beautiful mountain views with visitors. New for 2012 they are offering a Summer Picnic Event!
Upon arrival to the vineyard, you’ll meet in the Napa-style
event center with French doors all around overlooking the vineyards and stone patio. Have a sip of wine, munch on some appetizers and meet new friends. Before lunch, take a walk with one of Honora’s tour guides through the vineyard where they will offer an explanation of the cold weather grape growing process. Make a stop at the winery where you will go inside and see all of the tanks and equipment where the winemaker will
