CA’ SAGREDO

CA’ SAGREDO Another example of Venice’s living history, The Ca’ Sagredo lies in a 15th century palace on the Grand Canal between Ca D’Oro and the Rialto bridge. It opened as a hotel in 2007 after a painstaking restoration which uncovered a host of architectural treasures – no less than five centuries of history were lovingly brought back to life. The frescoes, public areas and marble staircases are all quite breathtaking, as are the 42 guest rooms which are a combination of traditional Venetian décor with a contemporary twist. The elegant restaurant not only takes full advantage of its romantic canal-side location, but also its proximity to the Rialto market selling fresh produce and seafood.
