Following huge success with our Cadbury investigation and Death by Chocolate campaign highlighting the high welfare toll of dairy production, we are hitting the road to do a tour of the UK!
Viva! and our sister organisation the VVF will be spreading the truth about dairy to consumers on the streets – both the adverse health consequences and the impact on cows that are literally milked to death.
What’s happening? During the day, Viva! staff and volunteers will be in city centres. As part of our eye-catching press initiative our new custom-made cow costume will represent ‘Daisy the cow’, who is searching for her calf, highlighting the heart-breaking separation of mother and calf. We will also have a banner and leaflets to help us engage with passers-by about dairy and encourage them to change. Why not volunteer to help us tell the public about the dairy industry? This will be followed by an evening event at
a central venue with talks including ‘Why you don’t need dairy’ and campaign film viewing showing the reality of the lives of dairy cows. To convince people it is easy and tasty! to eat dairy- free we will be giving out free food samples, such as lip-smacking chocolate and custard. If we are coming to a city near you and you could spare
