he overwhelming popularity of the Back Issue Buyer’s Guide distributed with our 50th issue has prompted us to do it again, now that we are 60!
We are delighted that so many of
you consider Race Engine Technology an invaluable reference work. For those of you in possession of the complete back catalogue of RET, this guide should help you track down articles you happen to be looking for. For those of you missing a few issues here and there, you can purchase any of the 60 RET back issues or any of the 16 Special Reports that we have published since 2006. Plus, there is good news since the last
Buyer’s Guide in that all of our back issues are now available electronically via an app, in versions for the iPhone and iPad, as well as smartphone and tablet computers that run the Android operating system. Apple users can download it from the iTunes store; those using Android-based devices will fi nd it in the equivalent marketplace. Please note though that we are not offering a digital subscription; we remain
fi rmly a print publication with the option to buy back issues either in print or, for the convenience of some, in digital form. The new RET app (search the relevant store for ‘Race Engine Technology’) costs just £1.99 to download (at current exchange rates that is about $3). Having downloaded it, you can then choose to download any one of our back issues free of charge. Subsequent issues cost £12.99 each.
In addition there are now apps for F1
Race Technology, 24 Hour Race Technology, Cup Race Technology and Drag Race Technology, which likewise provide the respective back issues. In these cases, the cost is £19.99 and that includes one issue, with subsequent issues priced at £19.99 each. As with RET, we are only providing back issues via this route – to get the latest issue you’ll need to buy the print version. With all of these apps we are simply
providing an alternative electronic library – really helpful for those occasions when, out at the racetrack or elsewhere you would be stranded without the real thing!
