PARENTS AND FRIENDS Thanks! Bush Dance & Back to

the Bush Activities What a great way to start the year! Thanks to the weather, Rembrandts was filled to capacity with chequered shirts, bush boots, cowboy hats and even a didgeridoo! The weather however couldn’t dampen the enthusiasm and enjoyment had by all! The Aussie tucker was bonzer (Aussie slang for excellent) and the home made jam scrumptious (according to my kids!).

Thank you to the organizers Sally Wade, Suzy Song and Fiona Bligh. Also thanks to the number of PFA coordinators, parent helpers and all the families who came out on a bleak Saturday to enjoy in some community spirit. In particular the PFA would like to thank the number of teachers who attended and even volunteered their time to help run some activities.

Well done to our inaugural golden gum boot champion, the iTunes and movie ticket winners for best dressed and most enthusiastic dancers (Mr & Mrs Wansbrough came a close 2nd) and to Sam Lim on his purchase of 7...yes 7 hay bales. Lucky guy!

Hot Cross Buns Day Just in time for Easter, hot cross buns from Bakers Delight will be available to order and pick up in the last week of term. New this year is that students will be able to order hot cross buns for lunch on Thursday 22nd. Information on this will be coming home soon.

Entertainment Books - Pre-order

now! The PFA are offering Entertainment Books again this

year. Still only $65 ($13 goes towards the PFA) and jam packed with value. Pre-ordering is available now by contacting Robyn at the office. Only books that are pre-ordered before the end of Term 1 will receive an extra sheet of vouchers to use. Books will arrive at the school ready to take home on the first day of school in Term 2. A reminder that the current 2011 books are valid until the 1st June, 2012.

Fundraising Target 2012 The goal this year is to raise at least $10000 to go towards buying equipment such as data projector, screen, staging etc for our new Multi Purpose Hall. The PFA are also looking at helping the music department with some much needed instruments.

The Athlete’s Foot School Rewards Athlete’s Foot has a school reward program in which each time someone associated with St Andrews purchases a pair of shoes in one of their 6 stores

(Knox City, Forest Hill, Eastland, The Glen, Chadstone or Southland), the Athlete’s Foot will donate $5 of sporting equipment back to the school. So far 31 pairs of shoes have been bought by St Andrews families. This equates to $155 of sports equipment we can buy. This program continues throughout the year so keep up your support.

PFA Next Meeting The next PFA meeting of the year will be on Tuesday 13 March at 7:30pm. All parents and friends are welcome to come.
