manager and mechanic, I felt confident I could build a facility that met all of our needs,“ said Anderson. “Selecting the right construction company was key in this project. You want a company who builds and understands this type of facility. It is one thing to build a school and a far different thing to build a transportation facility.”
GREEN DESIGN Sticking with the green efficiency theme, the waste oil is
recycled as a secondary heat product using an oil-burning furnace with no need for waste oil pickup. A used coolant reservoir was also installed on-site for recycling purposes.

regulate heat and air conditioning for maximum efficiency. Anderson also included a green-themed landscaping design that required minimal maintenance and water usage. A recycling program was also added to the facility plans.
Metals, cardboard and plastic are all categorized and sent out. Tere is also a fully automated brushless drive-thru bus wash and a fuel island for diesel, gas and Ethanol-85. Te parking lot was designed for easy maneuverability, with
each school bus stall measuring 12 feet wide by 50 feet long. A 50-foot driving lane between each row gives drivers additional room when backing out of each stall. Not only are the technicians are benefitting. Lounges for staff with
large seating areas and lockers were installed along with a computer room and full kitchen. Tis gives bus drivers and monitors as well as other staff the freedom to utilize their downtime by checking email and contacting parents when the need arises. Conference rooms for
