Museum from Hobart, Oklahoma, will bring its “Road show and Classroom” to the Freestone County Historical Museum March 7, 8, and 9.
long truck and trailer with eye-popping graphics and images. Inside the mobile museum and trailer are exhibits that will enhance the learning experience of students and adults alike. The Road Show serves as an active resource for critical thinking and discussions by exposing students to educational opportunities beyond the classroom and traditional learning experiences. The exhibits showcase cultural, social, and geographical
items and information from 24 Middle East Countries. Some items include clothing, handcrafted items, children’s toys, ceremonial items, the first democratic ballot from Afghanistan, and personal military items. The Freestone County Historical Museum is fortunate to
be hosting this exhibit with most of their events being held in Oklahoma. The public is welcome to attend the exhibit on Wednesday, March 7 from 10:00-11:30 am and again on Thursday, March 8 from 3:30 – 6:30 pm. The other times it will be closed for scheduled 6th grade student tours. Donations will be accepted to off set their expenses. The Freestone County Museum is located at 302 E. Main, Fairfield, Texas, and our phone number is 903-389-3738. Our normal hours of operation are Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm.

Temple and Mr. & Mrs. Ronald Pearce of Fairfield announce the engagement of Erika Darby Morgan and David Thomas Pearce. Miss Morgan attended
Baylor University and Temple College where she will be awarded an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Dental Hygiene this May. She will begin work this Fall to complete her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry
at the University of Mary Hardin Baylor. Mr. Pearce, a 2005
graduate of Fairfield High School, received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and a Master of Science in Biomedical Studies from Baylor University. He will matriculate to Texas A&M University Health Science Center College of Medicine, Class of 2016 in August. The couple will be married May 20 in Waco.
Healthy Rhythm Community Art Gallery announces its first Call Out to local and regional musicians to audition for a spot on the Gallery’s 2012 Music Season Schedule. Auditions will occur on Saturday, March 3rd

The Board of the Fairfield Library Association, Inc. announces the holding of its annual meeting at the library address, 350 W Main Street in Fairfield, Texas on Thursday, March 8, 2012. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6:30 pm, following the regular monthly meeting held at 5:00 pm. The Board President, Lyle Red will review library activities
for fiscal year 2011 and comment on the current library plans and activities. A slate of nominees to replace outgoing board members will be presented. The public is welcome to attend the meeting.

Fairfield Young Farmers to Sell Smoked Briskets
The Fairfield Young Farmers Chapter is smoking and selling briskets on April 6th. In order to guarantee your receipt of a brisket, your order must be prepaid. Call 903-388-3298 to order, arrange payment and provide your contact information. As soon as briskets come off
the pit that afternoon, you will be contacted to pick up your brisket at the Fairfield High School Ag shop, adjacent to tennis courts. Please pass the information along to others. All proceeds go to fund scholarships for qualifying Fairfield FFA seniors.
