BASF will present its new communication strategy and will also showcase its forward-thinking personal care solutions at in-cosmetics 2012.


Targeting different consumer groups People’s daily lives are characterised by the need to make themselves stand out, while taking part in society. As such, individualisation and authenticity can be considered as mega and macro trends. Manufacturers are looking for ways to meet the specific demands of each consumer group. BASF’s


new concept focuses on these different consumer lifestyles and includes solutions that meet the various demands of the different groups.

BASF will also launch a range of new hair-care ingredients. The products will be on display at the company’s stand and will also be presented at an Innovation Seminar on April 19, 2012.

Design innovative textures for personal cleansing solutions


Rhodia has recently launched Rheomer® 33, an


innovative rheological agent for diverse personal cleansing formulations. Rheomer®


33 facilitates the suspension of


beads and particles in low-medium surfactant systems while exhibiting ultra high clarity, high richness and good foam properties in final applications. A formulator’s delight, Rheomer®


33 can


be used in various applications such as crystal clear body washes with mica suspension particles, pearlescent body washes and shampoos, oil-rich moisturising shower creams, facial scrubs with beads and mild shower gels. A flexible polymer, Rheomer®


33


shows high thickening efficiency in both sulphate-based and sulphate-free surfactant systems. Its display of thickening and high clarity in the presence of salt is highly commendable.
