Beyond UV protection Orgasol®
microspheres are the essential allies to transform the sensory and functional performances of formulations with UV protection. Thanks to their unique microporous structure, they neutralise the undesirable stickiness and greasiness associated with the presence of UV filters, while favouring their dispersal during the formulation and the application. At in-cosmetics 2012, Arkema will go beyond UV protection. The unique combination of the sensory and functional properties of Orgasol®
microspheres
inspired three creative formulation concepts which illustrate the diversity of the values associated with the solar beauty. The Orgasol®
polyamide powders. Orgasol®
ingredients. Each Orgasol grade is fine-tuned to the varying requirements of cosmetics applications.

It is now possible to capture any area of the body and face thanks to a compact and portable 3D camera. The 3D LifeViz II™
is suitable for skin
analysis and quantitative measurement. The technology includes dual beam pointers to measure the exact same distance from the subject - this ensures perfect image reproducibility and comparability through time. It also integrates a cross-polarised flash which guarantees the same light and image quality, and a wireless transmission tool for immediate 3D visualisation.
The added value of the 3D technology enables laboratories to visualise and compare images of any body area, from any angle, in greater detail - using just a single shot. As the 2D image can only capture the skin surface, it becomes indispensable to any laboratory to use 3D technology to highlight skin volume or depth analysis accuracy.
Quantificare, Stand S30H
Owing to the acquisition of Burgundy, Naturex will exhibit its extended product range for the personal care market at in-cosmetics 2012. Naturex purifies 3 pure molecules from liquorice extract to give skin an extra boost. These products are suitable for skin care, suncare, make-up and oral care applications. Two of the molecules are widely used to treat irritated and sensitive skin. The third has the same properties plus a taste profile 50 times sweeter than sugar, and acts as a sweetener or an off-notes masker in oral care products and lipsticks. The centella offers pure cassoside, which has several benefits ranging from anti- inflammatory properties, stimulation of collagen synthesis, dermis and epidermis restructuration and healing properties. Naturex’s latest genomic study confirms the efficacy of Macaderm™
on cellular cohesion
and skin firmness. This ingredient stimulates the metabolic paths of genes involved in cells/cells junction, antimicrobial protection and homeostasis of the dermal tissue.
Naturex, Stand R50
It is natural and extremely effective in the treatment of wound, sunburn and acne prone skin. It is supported by extensive in vitro and in vivo data:
• Inhibiting the activity of 5α-reductase, and reducing the secretion of sebum
• Broad-spectrum antibiotic activity, effectively killing P. acnes • Anti-inflammation and repairing injury • Improving skin remodelling • Stimulation of collagen and glycosaminoglycan synthesis • Relieving the Hyperkeratosis of the sebaceous gland
