Innovation Zone Best Ingredient Award 2012
The Award is given to honour the development of a novel active or functional ingredient that combines innovative science and product features in a way that demonstrates substantial benefits to manufacturers and to end-users when compared with existing ingredients. The award will be judged by a panel of industry experts and in-cosmetics will reveal the winners (3 Awards – Gold, Silver, Bronze) during the ceremony.
Cosmetics & Toiletries R&D Awards 2012
The Cosmetics & Toiletries® R&D Awards honour one ingredient and one Lipo Chemicals - winner at in-cosmetics 2011
finished product for their design and craft. Finalists are chosen by a panel of international experts who rate the entries based on significance to the industry and long-term impact. Winners will be announced on April 17, 2012, at the awards ceremony during in-cosmetics. For Best New Ingredient, the 2012 finalists are: Lonza (Arch), for its ReGeniStem Red Rice anti-aging extract that promotes the expression of secondary metabolites; Sederma, for its Resistem anti-aging ingredient combining eco-friendly production with a novel mode of action - hormesis; Interpolymer Corp., for its Syntran PC 5620 water-based, film-forming polymer for nail enamels; and Ashland, for its FlexiThix polymer-based rheology modifier for difficult-to-thicken systems. For Most Creative Application, the 2012 finalists are: Kao Brands Co., for its John Frieda Frizz Ease 3-Day Straight Semi-Permanent Styling Spray; Kimberly-Clark Corp., for its Kleenex Cool Touch Facial Tissue; PZ Cussons, for its Charles Worthington Salon at Home Straight & Smooth hair treatment; and Procter & Gamble, for its SK-II Cellumination Mask In-Lotion.
