hank you for showing an interest in our natural Portuguese limestone collection. As you browse through this catalogue you will find a very comprehensive range with over 31 models being shown, most being offered in various sizes. There are styles to suit almost any room from Traditional to Contemporary, including our award winning designs. Our fireplaces are manufactured in our Portuguese factory to the highest standard using only the best available materials with each stage of manufacture being monitored with our own strict quality control system.
You will note our attention to detail as we ensure the veining of our stone generally always runs from left to right at varying angles to each fireplace part which looks extremely attractive. We never mix general horizontal with general vertical veining to each fireplace part as this in our opinion gives a very inferior product. If however your preference is for mixed horizontal and vertical veining, all of our designs are available in Sepol Portuguese Limestone as an alternative. Sepol is a unique & beautiful Portuguese limestone only available exclusively from Newman Fireplaces Ltd & our sister company New Image Fireplaces Ltd. See p12 for example.
Portuguese limestone is a beautiful natural material offering a fireplace that is truly unique each having its own natural variation in shading and markings. With its neutral colour it is an ideal choice for making decorating and room furnishings simple for now and for the future.
