FOCUS on POWER
The Piller Group’s latest development is its UNIBLOCK UBT+ and UNIBLOCK UBTD+ range. These standalone machines range in size from 500kW up to 2400kW.
The UBTD is a diesel-coupled uninterruptible power supply (UPS).
The entire UNIBLOCK range is available with either battery or kinetic energy backup.
These releases offer high reliability and high efficiency – up to 97%.
They also have economical power management.
A number of active units in a parallel system can automatically be adapted to the load level.
These solutions also offer total design flexibility, and come with a free choice of standby Gensets, with a medium voltage option also available.
Water cooling can be used while battery or flywheel backed versions are on offer.
The company claims that these solutions can offer more than three times longer bridging time when using kinetic energy, and offer more storage than any other commercially available flywheel system.
They have redundant on-board power supplies and a leading and lagging output power factor, without derating with a 100% load step capability even in Genset operation.
IN THE DATA CENTER
These solutions can help lower space requirements in the data center and offer a high efficiency option with a low TCO for high active power and total design flexibility.
