Lady From a Tramp aka Katie Vincent Tales from the blogosphere with our

blogger of the month

Ladyfromatramp.co.uk was created in 2010 out of love for beauty, fashion and my passion to find the most perfect set of products for my problematic, hypersensitive skin, bleached blonde hair and spend- savvy purse. My poor husband had to endure hours of me telling him about the latest lipstick launch or hairstyle so I thought it was about time to set up a blog and share my love. My website offers my readers an honest, ‘average girl’ approach to beauty products, fashion and lifestyle. I admit I’m not the thinnest, prettiest or most cutting edge blogger but I am real, honest and willing to share, especially a Slimming World recipe or two! I love high end products but always aim to find a budget friendly alternative or ‘dupe’ for my readers such as the £14 Clarisonic alternative. I wanted a Clarisonic from the moment they burst onto the beauty scene, but as I have hypersensitive skin I was too scared in case it had an adverse affect and I wasted over £100. While browsing Amazon I came across a budget version from Champneys. Like the Clarisonic, it is a battery powered rotating face cleansing brush. It really makes the skin feel shiny and clean without tightness. It’s great to try if you can’t afford the Clarisonic, or like me, are a bit too afraid. I am currently excited to be trying out some new brands as well as favourites like M.A.C, Illamasqua and Chanel. My beauty highlight of the month has definitely been getting a hold of another tub of the famed Soleil Tan de Chanel.

OUR FAVE LADY FROM A TRAMP BLOG POST! I am in love with the Avène Tolerance Extreme moisturiser. Let me just get that out there right now! It’s awesome. Tolerance Extreme is a moisturiser specifically designed for hypersensitive and allergic skin. It contains the purest ingredients without any potentially irritating additives - sounds good right?! I use this moisturiser night and day and have not had a reaction to it at all. It soothes and nourishes. It feels like quite a thick cream when you apply but it soaks in well and leaves skin feeling moist all day without that clammy feeling you sometimes get. I let the moisturiser soak in for about ten minutes before I apply my make up and I have no issues with application. This is the second item from Avène I have tried and continue to be impressed. The Eau Thermale is still a God-send and I’ve just started to use the cleansing lotion. I’ve been using that for about a month and I’m getting on well with it. I’m looking forward to trying more of the range seeing as I have had such positive experiences so far… which is rare for me and my skin! Unscented, unpretentious and readily available in Boots. If you have sensitive or hypersensitive skin, I really recommend this moisturiser. For more from Lady From a Tramp, visit www.ladyfromatramp.co.uk.
