Royal Veterinary College To help in meeting the demand for student accommodation in 2011, the University leased 7 properties from the Royal Veterinary College, based in the countryside of North Mymms, Hatfield. This has proved successful and we will be continuing with this arrangement for 2012. The accommodation comprises single rooms, with en-suite facilities and internet access, within in a newly built student village. All are self catered and the RVC campus offers 24 hour security. Some parking is available, making this an ideal choice for car users. For those students without their own transportation, the RVC is serviced by a regular shuttle to Potters Bar station and the University’s UNO bus service. There is a launderette on site. If you are bringing a TV, you must purchase a TV licence and you will need to bring bedding, bed linen and crockery/cutlery/cooking equipment.
Private Property managed by University
of Hertfordshire A number of local Hatfield privately owned properties were secured to increase our capacity to house new students to the University in 2010 and we will continue with this successful scheme for 2012. Typically, these properties will be occupied by 3, 4 or 5 students who we will allocate together, in a similar way to on campus accommodation in flats or houses. There may be some smaller or larger properties within this mix of accommodation.
If you are allocated to a private property in the local area, your accommodation contact will commence from 15 September 2012.
No smoking is permitted in any areas of University owned or managed residences
